Work Health & Safety Physiotherapy

Most of us who are working daily are exposed to work cover injuries.

TAKE SPECIAL CARE IF ANY OF THESE RISK FACTORS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR DAILY WORK SCHEDULE:

  1. Sitting or Standing All Day

  2. Heavy Lifting

  3. Bending and Twisting

  4. Repetitive Work on the Production Line

  5. Working in Unnatural Postures

These risk factors can easily cause a work injury that may lead to discomfort, tension or sharp pain in your back, neck or shoulders. Such injuries can cause productivity loss and physiological damage. So, if you are witnessing any of these, visit us immediately.

What to do if you experience a work cover injury

Our primary goal is to reduce potential injury risk and provide effective intervention to stop an injury into becoming a claim. Our Corporate Physiotherapy services can help you prevent and control workplace injury cases to minimise claims. We offer an entire gamut of services on site including ergonomics assessments, training and delivering manual handling programs for your employees.

HERE IS HOW WE DO IT:

  1. Report the injury to your employer and/or insurance provider.

  2. Get an appointment with your GP. You will need her recommendation to start your physiotherapy program. Carry this recommendation to your initial TruCare session.

  3. You should have an insurance claim number when you arrive for your very first session. You will have to fill a Patient Information Form with the details about your employer and work cover insurance.

Patience and consistency are critically important to regain the natural mobility, lost in a work accident. It is common for patients to take anywhere between 6 to 12 months in attaining considerable amount of recovery. Hence, be patient and finish your entire physiotherapy program.

How TruCare provides work cover injury care:

We blend our tailored approach model and deploy recovery mechanisms like the following, going from the acute stage to the strengthening stage:

  • Massage and Heating

  • Gentle Joint Mobilisation

  • Stretching to Prevent Stiffness

  • Neck’s Deep Flexor Muscle, Shoulder Muscle and Upper Back Strength Exercises

We also provide tailored programs to help with fractures, sprained joints and muscular injuries. These are reactive methods, put to use after the injury has been witnessed. For work injuries, we also run proactive programs to avoid the injury in the first place. Please refer our Corporate Wellness/Work Health & Safety page to know more about these programs. Our goal, throughout the process, is to help you get back to work as soon as possible. In most of such cases, effective initial management can make a vast difference to the overall time taken for considerable recovery. Hence, make sure you get in touch with us as soon as you witness any such injuries.
